Parsons to deliver key engineering for US Army C5ISR radar

The US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command’s (DEVCOM) C5ISR Center has granted disruptive technology provider Parsons a recomplete contract to continue providing essential engineering services for radar development.

This $30m contract, which Parsons has managed for the past three years, is structured with an initial 12-month period.

It also includes the potential for four subsequent 12-month extensions, ensuring ongoing support for the C5ISR Center’s radar mission requirements.

Under the contract, Parsons will provide support encompassing programme management, systems engineering, modelling and simulation, development, testing, integration, analysis, and prototype development and fabrication.

These efforts are directed towards research, development, test, and evaluation to enhance ground-based and airborne radar systems in terms of performance, functionality, and survivability.

Parsons defence and intelligence president Mike Kushin said: “This mission-critical programme enables the US Army to anticipate and prepare for threats from near-peer adversaries and provides cutting-edge radar solutions that advance Department of Defense priorities and protect national security.

“Our trusted engineering team will provide high-level engineering and prototyping support for the US Army and other mission partners, expanding Parsons’ radar engineering capabilities while delivering complex, state-of-the-art tools, technologies, and systems that support the Army’s radar mission areas.”

The contract underscores the growing challenges in missile defence and C5ISR domains, where advanced solutions are necessary to counteract hypersonic threats and enhance battlefield communications, stated the company.

Parsons has been delivering actionable intelligence to warfighters and developing solutions for a range of applications such as sensors, non-kinetic warfare, missile defence, command and control, and Air Base Air Defense (ABAD).

Parsons is currently engaged as the contractor of record for ABAD integration and development at Ramstein Air Base.

In April 2024, the US Army Environmental Command awarded Parsons a position on a contract, worth $464m, for environmental remediation services at US Army sites.
