Elbit Systems wins $1.64bn defence contract with European nation
Israeli’s defence contractor Elbit Systems has secured a $1.64bn contract to supply a variety of defence solutions to an undisclosed European country.
The contract is anticipated to be implemented over the next five years.
Under this contract, Elbit Systems will provide two main categories of advanced defence solutions that incorporate the latest technologies, including AI.
The first category comprises long-range precision artillery-rocket systems and a comprehensive range of uncrewed systems for reconnaissance and aerial combat.
These systems cover operational to tactical ranges and include drones that can be operated personally by soldiers on the ground, said the company.
The second category includes sophisticated intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR) capabilities, such as signals intelligence (SIGINT), communications intelligence (COMINT), and electronic warfare systems.
Additionally, Elbit Systems will deliver advanced electro-optical (E/O) and night-vision equipment, upgrades for combat vehicles, and protective systems designed to enhance soldier safety.
A key component of this contract is the delivery of an integrated military digitalisation and Network Combat Solution that incorporates the latest software and advanced hardware communication equipment.
This solution includes intelligence solutions from Elbit Systems’ C4ISR suite of command-and-control applications.
The system is designed to operate across all levels of military operations, from strategic army headquarters down to individual combat vehicles, stated the company.

The company has recorded revenues of $1.97bn in the second quarter of fiscal 2025, up from $1.63bn in the same quarter of the previous year.
The company maintained a steady gross profit for the quarter amounting to $472.9m, compared to $389.7m in the prior year quarter.
The defence contractor’s order backlog as of 30 June 2025, has reached $23.8bn, with international markets constituting approximately 68% of the current backlog.
Furthermore, 46% of the order backlog is expected to be executed during the latter half of 2025 and throughout 2026.
