Babcock awarded British Army FEPS contract worth up to £36m
Babcock International Group (Babcock) has secured a contract to provide in-service support for the British Army’s Field Electrical Power Supplies (FEPS) power generators.
The contract, valued at up to £36m ($48m), will run for up to eight years and create 20 jobs, according to the company’s 9 March 2026 press statement.

FEPS are used by the Army to supply electricity for tactical communications systems, lighting, support facilities and other critical infrastructure during operations and training exercises.
Under the agreement, Babcock will take responsibility for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of FEPS power generators.
Leveraging its strategic asset management framework, the company will support fleet availability and reliability.
Babcock will carry out the contract from three sites in the UK, providing engineering support, technical services and equipment lifecycle management.
Teams of specialists from the company, supported by its integrated capabilities, will help keep Army equipment ready for operations and deployment.
Babcock Through Life Equipment Support managing director Kate Robinson said: “This contract supporting FEPS enables the British Army to operate and ensure that they have the power they need, when and where they need it.
“This new agreement strengthens our relationship with our customer and demonstrates Babcock’s integrated approach to complex asset management, powering our Armed Forces on the frontline.”
Babcock, serving as a strategic support partner to the British Army, offers maintenance and asset management for vehicle fleets and equipment.
In December last year, Babcock released the first Jackal 3 Extenda (E) vehicles for the British Army from its production line at the Devonport facility in the UK.
