DroneShield confirms C-UAS tech participation in Project FlyTrap
Global counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) technology provider DroneShield has confirmed its involvement in the US Army V Corps-led multinational defence exercise, Project FlyTrap.
The exercise is being held at the Hohenfels Training Area in Germany and the Bemowo Piskie Training Area in Poland between June and August 2025.
Project FlyTrap aims to evaluate new C-UAS technologies and refine anti-drone strategies.
The initiative underscores the significance of C-UAS operations, which have gained prominence due to recent conflicts such as those in Ukraine.
V Corps prioritises these exercises as they explore innovative, cost-effective and mobile solutions to counteract enemy drone activities in collaboration with Nato allies.
During the joint US-UK defence exercises, DroneShield’s advanced counter-drone technology will be tested and used.
The company’s DroneGun Mk4 offers advanced counter-drone measures in a compact, easily transportable package.
Designed for swift deployment, it accurately disables unauthorised drones, minimising interference with the surrounding area.
DroneShield has more than 11 years of experience in C-UAS technology and has deployed around 4,000 units in more than 40 countries.
The company’s counter-drone systems have been operational in Ukraine since the conflict began, demonstrating their effectiveness in active combat scenarios.

In June 2025, DroneShield secured three follow-on contracts from a European reseller to supply handheld detection and counter-drone systems along with necessary accessories.
The order, valued at A$61.6m ($40m), represents the largest single purchase in the history of DroneShield, exceeding its total revenue of A$57.5m reported in the fiscal year 2024.
The company also recently received three separate contracts totalling $9.7m from a defence client in a Latin American country.
Soldiers of the 1st Battalion, Royal Yorkshire Regiment, Light Mechanised Infantry, evaluated CUAS technologies at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center during Project Flytrap.
