DZYNE lands contract to equip ADF with Dronebuster DTIM Kits
The Australian Defence Force (ADF) has awarded a contract to DZYNE Technologies and defence supplier HIFraser to supply Dronebuster Detect, Track, Identify, Mitigate (DTIM) Kits.
A DTIM Kit is a handheld, counter-small, uncrewed aerial system (Cs-UAS) that enables dismounted forces to detect, track, identify and neutralise small drone threats in real time.

Designed to be wearable, the Dronebuster DTIM Kit can operate independently or be integrated into larger, layered defence architectures.
The kit offers omnidirectional detection ranging from 400MHz to 6GHz and incorporates multi-mode tracking capabilities such as Remote ID, AeroScope and radio frequency (RF) direction-finding.
It utilises AI for drone signal identification, drawing from a continuously updated library.
For neutralising threats, the system employs kinetic-free defeat methods like RF jamming and position, navigation and timing disruption.
The Dronebuster DTIM Kit is already in use by US forces and their allies worldwide.
It has undergone extensive validation in contested and denied electromagnetic environments, said DZYNE.
To date, more than 2,500 units have been delivered and are operational in over 50 countries.

The contract, announced by Defence Industry Minister Pat Conroy, was secured under the ADF’s Land 156 Phase 1 programme. This initiative seeks to provide a scalable, integrated C-UAS solution to protect ADF personnel from drone threats in various operational scenarios.
Last month, Leidos Australia was appointed as the systems integration partner for the ADF’s Project Land 156 CsUAS.
